Wedge Wire Filter
Wedge wire filters, also known as V-wire screens, are highly efficient, precision-engineered filtration components widely used in solid-liquid separation. They are manufactured by resistance-welding distinct, V-shaped profile wires onto internal support rods. This specialized design creates a continuous, uninterrupted slot that widens inwardly, allowing particles to pass through easily and virtually eliminating the risk of clogging or blinding.
The unique geometry of wedge wire filters provides a perfectly flat, smooth surface that is exceptionally easy to clean via backwashing or mechanical scraping. Typically constructed from premium stainless steel or specialized alloys, these filters exhibit outstanding mechanical strength, high pressure resistance, and excellent durability in corrosive or high-temperature environments. Thanks to their robust construction and low-maintenance design, wedge wire filters are the preferred choice for demanding industrial applications, including water treatment, food and beverage processing, petrochemical refining, and pulp and paper manufacturing.
What Is Wedge Wire?
Wedge wire is a type of wire with a triangular or T-shaped cross-section. Fused together through pressure welding to form an integral unit, it creates a structure with precise, narrow slots and is used for applications such as filtration and screening.
